Standing on the Downs in Bristol there were originally 7 of these trees - sadly only these three remain but their shape is so distinctive that they are instantly recognisable to most Bristol residents.
I took this image one evening when the backlit light created a wonderful silhouette and, being low to the ground, the small rise immediately ahead of me simplified the scene by obscuring the other numerous smaller trees and bushes.
