Half day One to one photography course

If you are looking for a course to improve your photography, learn new techniques and master others to take better photographs, or just want to understand how to use your camera, a half day one to one photography course will enable you to progress quickly. Suitable for novice, intermediate of advanced photographers, you will benefit from a second eye and a have an opportunity to look at things from a different perspective.

The tuition will be bespoke to your need and is normally fulfilled in and around Bristol, often at the Harbourside or Clifton Suspension Bridge, but also at Portishead for coastal photography, or the Mendips or local woodlands for those wanting to focus on landscapes. Details are as follows:

1:1 Half day workshop 3 hrs 

Location: tailored to need, around Bristol, Woodland or coast within 45 mins-1 hour drive

Time:  Precise start time to be agreed depending on location and time of year

Cost:  As shown for up to two people attending

Basic Camera settings

Image quality choice and using the histogram.
Focusing techniques.
Controlling the camera in manual mode.

Choosing appropriate shutter speed, aperture and ISO

Finding and composing images.
Thought process before taking an image.

Advance planning at a new location
Using filters.
Shooting and processing panoramas.
Using slow shutter speeds for long exposures.

Please let me know your level of fitness before we go as this will have an impact on some of the places we can visit.

Walking boots and a good raincoat are also essential together with a camera with full manual control such as a DSLR or mirrorless camera.  A tripod is recommended.
